Job summary

XPS Group in Perth is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead pensions administration activities and support the Administration Manager. You will review team practices, improve efficiency, supervise staff, and provide first line technical support for complex cases.

The role requires strong knowledge of defined benefit schemes, pensions legislation, and a proactive approach to process improvements. Salary is complemented by a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of pensions administration activities across schemes.
• Experience with Defined Benefit processes: leavers, retirements, deaths, transfers, monthly processing, investments, statements, renewals, increases.
• Knowledge of pensions legislation framework and updates.
• Previous supervisory/leadership experience including performance monitoring and recruitment.
• Strong numerical skills and analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Ensure appropriate technical training for the team and onboarding of new joiners.
• Present training to the team when needed.
• Act as a referral point for complex cases and quality checks.
• Keep up to date with industry developments and regulations.
• Provide first line technical support to reduce referrals.
• Assist Admin Manager on new processes and complex installations.
• Support key client projects requiring technical input.
• Regularly review and resolve issues raised by the team to improve efficiency.
