Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a Senior Technical Coordinator within the Smart Metering Operations Centre (SMOC). You’ll combine data analysis, technical coordination and stakeholder engagement to deliver initiatives that improve operational performance. Hybrid role based in Slough/Langley with a clear focus on turning insight into action.

You’ll support the Technical Lead, triage technical tickets, create clear reporting and manage multiple workstreams, ensuring timely and high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Proactive, organised and comfortable taking ownership with good communication.
• Strong attention to detail and effective time management.
• Experience using IT systems and producing reports.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.
• Experience creating, maintaining and interpreting reports.

Responsibilities

• Support the SMOC Technical Lead with day-to-day activities to improve operational performance.
• Use data, systems and tools to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Support the wider SMOC team through change and new technologies.
• Triaging inbound technical tickets and ensuring faults progress within SLAs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, sharing findings and updates.
• Deliver multiple initiatives on time and to high standards.
