Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a Senior Technical Coordinator to join the Smart Metering Operations Centre (SMOC) team. The role combines data analysis, technical coordination and stakeholder engagement to identify opportunities and resolve challenges, helping turn insights into action.

You'll support the Technical Lead, manage multiple workstreams, and help implement new technologies and ways of working across the business.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel and data manipulation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Collaborative and customer-focused approach with ownership of issues.
• Demonstrable project management experience coordinating multiple pieces of work to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the SMOC Technical Lead with day-to-day activities to improve operational performance.
• Using data, systems and available tools to identify trends, challenges and opportunities for improvement.
• Supporting the wider SMOC team through departmental change and the implementation of new technologies.
• Triaging inbound technical tickets and ensuring faults are progressed by the appropriate teams within agreed SLAs.
• Working with internal and external stakeholders, sharing findings, progress and key updates.
• Collaborating across the team and wider business to deliver successful outcomes.
• Managing multiple initiatives and workstreams, ensuring work is delivered on time and to a high standard.
• Creating and maintaining clear, accurate reporting to support decision-making and performance.
