Job summary

Rightmove is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to own the infrastructure that ingests, processes, and serves data across the business. You’ll lead the data platform, write robust Python/SQL, and deploy infrastructure with Terraform in a hybrid London setup.

You’ll empower data producers and consumers with reusable patterns, ensure security and observability, and drive engineering best practices across the team.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on expertise with GCP-based data platforms.
• Experience designing and operating large-scale data pipelines and real-time processing.
• Proficient in Python and SQL and software engineering fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical approach to complex data challenges and set direction for the platform.
• Own end-to-end technical leadership of cross-functional projects end-to-end delivery.
• Design and build data platform infrastructure and internal tooling.
