Job summary

Rightmove is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own and evolve the data platform on a modern GCP stack. You will lead infrastructure, tooling, and engineering practices that power Rightmove’s data ecosystem across ingestion, processing and serving data for the business.

In this role you’ll shape standards, promote best practices, and mentor engineers to raise the team’s output. You’ll work on cross-functional data projects, collaborating with data scientists, analytics, and product teams to

Qualifications

• Strong track record delivering impact in data engineering or data platform engineering.
• Experience building and operating large-scale, cloud-based data platforms.
• Strong Python and SQL engineering skills.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical approach to complex data challenges and set direction.
• Own end-to-end technical leadership of cross-functional projects.
• Design and build data platform infrastructure and internal tooling.
• Own reusable batch and real-time data ingestion frameworks.
• Manage infrastructure, security and code deployment with Terraform and CI/CD.
