Job summary

Rightmove is seeking a Senior Data Engineer II to shape the data platform powering the UK's largest property marketplace. You will combine deep technical expertise with strategic thinking to build scalable data infrastructure and influence data engineering practices across the org.

You will work on analytics, machine learning and AI initiatives, driving the transition to AI-assisted data engineering while collaborating with product teams and engineers to deliver impactful solutions.

Qualifications

• Senior data engineering leadership with complex initiatives.
• Architectural design across data ingestion, processing and storage.
• Hands-on with Python and SQL; experience with dbt, Spark and Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and evolution of Rightmove's data platform for long-term scalability and performance.
• Own architecture and build of data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and processing across batch and real-time workloads.
• Partner with Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists, ML Engineers and product teams to solve real-world problems.
• Drive adoption of AI-native data engineering and data governance practices.
• Mentor engineers and grow technical capability across the team.
