Job summary

Boots is seeking a Solution Architect – Data Integration in Nottingham for an 18-month fixed-term programme focused on HR systems transformation. You will define target architecture, lead data migrations and integrations, and guide delivery with enterprise architecture alignment.

You will collaborate with portfolio leads, third parties, and internal teams to ensure compliant, scalable designs across Core HR, Talent, Payroll, Recruitment, HelpDesk and Learning modules.

Qualifications

• Experience on two large HR transformation programmes or similar
• Deep knowledge of data migrations or integrations standards and tools
• Proven ability to define target operating models and integration architectures
• Experience across geographies with large-scale HR transformations
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles and SaaS best practices
• Ability to balance standardisation with business-specific requirements
• Excellent stakeholder influence and consensus building
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the high-level design for data migrations and integrations across the HR transformation programme.
• Translate business requirements into robust, integrated, and compliant designs.
• Create end-to-end process flows, data models, integration patterns, and security frameworks.
• Define configuration standards, design principles, and architectural guardrails.
• Ensure designs are understood by the project team, including third parties and shared services.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to manage deviations and technical debt.
• Advise on testing non-functional, operational, and technical requirements; support defect resolution.
• Act as the primary technical advisor to HR leadership and IT executives.
• Facilitate design workshops, walkthroughs, and decision forums.
