Job summary

Surrey County Council is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join the Business Systems Team in Woodhatch, Reigate, on a flexible hybrid basis. You will manage and improve property-related data and systems across Land & Property services, delivering insights to support decision-making and public service delivery.

Collaboration with estate teams, property managers, and IT is essential. You will work with IWMS, property master data, spatial data, and workplace assets, developing dashboards and reports

Qualifications

• A degree in Data Science, Information Management, Property Management, or a related field.
• Extensive experience working as a Data Analyst within a property, estates, facilities, or asset management environment.
• Proven expertise in analyzing complex datasets, identifying trends, and delivering insightful reports to support strategic decision-making.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization techniques.
• Experience working with property management systems, relational databases, and spatial data, including AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies, with certifications such as PRINCE2 or APMP being advantageous.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the management, analysis, and continuous improvement of property-related data across Land & Property services.
• Ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security within the IWMS and other property management systems.
• Developing and maintaining comprehensive reports, dashboards, and visualizations to meet the needs of various stakeholders.
• Leading on data quality initiatives and implementing process improvements to streamline data collection and analysis.
• Collaborating with property managers, estate teams, and IT professionals to optimize data workflows and system integrations.
• Building specialist knowledge in property datasets, including property master data, spatial data, leases, valuations, and workplace assets.
• Providing expert advice on data management best practices and supporting colleagues in developing their data literacy skills.
• Participating in projects related to property data systems upgrades, implementations, and integrations.
• Contributing to strategic planning by delivering insights that inform property portfolio management and resource allocation.
