Job summary

Matillion is seeking a senior Solutions Expert to accelerate engagement with enterprise customers in cutting-edge data automation. You will map technical pain points, build tailored proofs, and ensure alignment of digital sales motions with customer needs.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years working with Enterprise customers in a technical role (e.g., Solution Architect, Sales Engineer)
• Strong experience in solution selling with demonstrated value through tailored presentations
• Experience selling AI and agentic AI solutions (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, n8n)
• Expertise in cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks) and cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB)
• Hands-on experience with APIs, Linux, SQL
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Diagnose & Map technical and business pain points to success metrics
• Lead tailored proofs through demos, trials, or POCs
• Align technical teams with sales strategy and credit sizing estimates
• Cultivate trusted advisor relationships and monitor adoption dashboards
• Lead business reviews and customer cadences to maintain high platform adoption
• Identify upsell opportunities and drive expansion into new workloads
• Represent the brand at industry events and create technical content
• Convey customer insights to Product and Engineering for continuous improvement
• Stay ahead of cloud and data transformation trends and share learnings
