Job summary

Gleeds is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major nuclear programme in Warrington. The role focuses on cost management from early cost advice to final account, with a mix of home, office and client site work.

Ideal candidates have MRICS and strong cost estimation, procurement and contract administration experience, plus excellent communication skills for client liaison and team leadership.

Qualifications

• Sound cost management experience post MRICS qualification.
• Practical knowledge of cost estimating and planning.
• Understanding of post-contract cost management tasks.
• Strong communication and numeracy skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing environments and work in teams.

Responsibilities

• Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering objectives.
• Engaging with Customers and developing relationships.
• Delivering cost management services meeting Customer needs.
• Managing projects to deliver quality outputs per procedures.
• Preparing and presenting cost estimates and option studies.
• Cost planning and cost-in-use studies.
• Advising on procurement strategies and tendering.
• Preparing tender documentation and managing the process.
• Valuing completed work and arranging payments.
• Settling final accounts and providing contract guidance.
• Mentoring employees and identifying new business opportunities.
• Driving growth across Business Units activities.
