Job summary

Connect2Hackney are seeking a seasoned Content Designer to join a multi-disciplinary Agile team delivering simpler, clearer, and faster local government services for the London Borough of Hackney.

As a Content Designer you will design end-to-end user journeys and ensure accessibility, working across government departments to represent the user voice. Requires at least 3 years’ Content Designer experience and UK Public Sector exposure within an Agile setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' professional Content Designer experience.
• Experience as Content Designer in UK Public Sector (local or central).
• Significant experience working in multi-disciplinary Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Design with data: use evidence, user research and performance data to guide content decisions.
• Prototype to persuade: translate ideas into paper sketches and digital prototypes to show the rationale.
• Build bridges: collaborate across government departments to align stakeholders and represent user needs.
• Standard bearer: contribute to style guides and content patterns to maintain governance.
• Iterate constantly: operate in a fast-paced Agile environment and learn from feedback.
