Job summary

Pennine Care is seeking an experienced Consultant Clinical Psychologist to provide professional, clinical and strategic leadership across a specialist Learning Disability Care Hub. This role shapes service development, drives quality improvement and ensures delivery of evidence-based psychological care within a supportive Trust framework.

As a senior leader, you will influence Trust-wide priorities, lead strategic work and champion the rights and wellbeing of people with learning disabilities

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and clinical leadership to psychological therapy staff across the Learning Disability Care Hub.
• Contribute as a senior leader to the development and delivery of Care Hub and Trust objectives.
• Deliver highly specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for people with learning disabilities.
• Provide expert consultation and clinical leadership to multidisciplinary teams, carers and partner agencies.
• Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of innovative service improvements.
• Support the development of policies, pathways and standards across learning disability services.
• Promote evidence-based practice and a culture of continuous quality improvement.
• Lead and contribute to research, audit and service evaluation projects.
• Develop strong partnerships with community, health, social care and third-sector organisations.
• Ensure psychological therapy services meet quality, performance and waiting time standards.
• Lead, supervise, mentor and develop psychological therapy staff and trainees.
• Participate in recruitment, workforce planning and professional development activities.
• Champion the rights, inclusion and wellbeing of people with learning disabilities and their families.
• Represent the Learning Disability Care Hub in Trust-wide and external forums.
