Job summary

Pennine Care NHS FT is seeking an experienced Consultant Clinical Psychologist to provide professional and strategic leadership across the Learning Disability Care Hub. You will influence service development, shape policy, drive quality improvement and ensure high‑quality, evidence‑based psychological care for people with learning disabilities.

The role combines clinical practice, leadership, workforce development and research, enabling impact on individuals and the broader health and social

Qualifications

• Bachelor or above in Psychology (with honours).
• Post-graduate Doctorate in Clinical Psychology as accredited by the BPS.
• Registered with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist.
• Clinical supervision training for Doctoral trainees and experience supervising trainees.
• Extensive experience as a highly specialised clinical psychologist in learning disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and clinical leadership for psychological therapies across the Learning Disability Care Hub.
• Contribute to strategic service development and Trust objectives.
• Deliver highly specialist assessment, formulation and intervention for people with learning disabilities.
• Provide expert consultation to multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies.
• Lead development and evaluation of innovative service improvements and policies.
• Support workforce planning, recruitment and professional development.
• Lead research, audits and quality improvement activities.
• Develop partnerships with community and partner organisations.
