Job summary

Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a highly specialist clinical psychologist to provide direct assessment and intervention for children and young people with learning disabilities within the CAMHS LD Team.

The postholder will work within a multi-disciplinary team, supervise trainees, and contribute to governance, research and teaching activities to support high-quality care for families and carers connected to CAMHS LD.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based psychological assessments and interventions for children and young people with learning disabilities and their carers.
• Provide supervision and support to trainees and staff within CAMHS LD.
• Contribute to service development, guidelines, and audits relevant to CAMHS LD.
• Liaise with other professionals and agencies to ensure coordinated care.
• Participate in regular multi-agency meetings and deliver teaching as required.
