Job summary

Galliford Try is seeking a Construction Manager in the UK to lead the River Mease project on the Severn Trent AMP 8 Framework. You will drive construction phase activities, ensuring safety, quality and delivery to programme.

You will manage multiple teams, coordinate with design, site and HR, and ensure resources, subcontractors and materials align to project requirements while upholding Galliford Try values and Be Well initiatives.

Qualifications

• First class project management capabilities and track record delivering to client expectations.
• Experience managing multiple teams and coordinating design input.
• CSCS card and professional qualification relevant to the role.

Responsibilities

• Functional management of teams during the construction phase of the project.
• Coordination of constructability input during preliminary design phase.
• Planning, coordination and allocation of construction staff to maximise efficiency.
• Liaise with Project Managers, Site Team and HR to develop the resource pool.
• Overall management of construction resources including labour, plant and material.
• Performance and relationship management of subcontractors.
• Identify discipline specific technical issues and feedback to design teams.
• Ensure activities meet agreed schedules and man hour budgets.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation.
• Adhere to contract quality plans for temporary and permanent works.
