Job summary

Galliford Try is seeking a Civil Senior Design Engineer - Environment to join a dynamic engineering team. You will work on municipal water and wastewater projects and deliver designs that meet regulatory and project standards across multiple locations in the UK.

You will mentor engineers, support procurement and site activities, and contribute to engineering governance while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in Municipal Water and Wastewater sectors with multiple clients.
• Chartered status is preferred.
• Commercial awareness in contracting/consulting environments.
• Knowledge of H&S legislation, British Standards and QA procedures.
• Produce and check calculations and reports to support designs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Principal Engineer and Design Leads to deliver high-quality designs.
• Provide technical support to procurement and site teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing.
• Produce and check calculations and design reports.
