Job summary

Galliford Try Group is seeking a Site Agent to join our Infrastructure Waste Water Environment team on the Severn Trent AMP 8 Framework. The role involves managing delivery across multiple sites, with focus on finances, safety, and progress.

You will lead a team, engage clients, and ensure regulatory compliance while coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors. The role requires experience in construction/project management, budgeting, and risk assessment, plus qualifications such as

Qualifications

• Industry qualification such as ONC/HNC/B.Eng or NVQ equivalent.
• Health and safety certifications (IOSH or CITB SMSTS, CSCS card).
• Experience in waste and/or water industries.
• Project management principles and practices in construction/engineering.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, CDM regulations, and environmental legislation.
• Experience in managing project finances, including budgeting, cost control, and profit/loss analysis.
• Previous involvement in contract management, including contract documentation preparation and compliance.
• Familiarity with project scheduling tools and techniques.
• Experience coordinating with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal departments.
• Procurement experience for plant, materials and specialist subcontractors.
• Reviewing risk assessments, method statements, and environmental impact assessments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project schedules and ensure milestones are met.
• Collaborate with project planners to develop detailed programmes.
• Identify and address design/project requirements and solutions.
• Coordinate with internal departments to allocate resources and meet objectives.
• Manage procurement processes for equipment, materials and subcontractors.
• Participate in progress reviews and address issues.
• Conduct site visits and meetings to monitor progress.
• Ensure timely preparation of contract documentation and as-built drawings.
