Job summary

Saab UK, in Fareham, is seeking an experienced Senior Compliance Engineer to oversee regulatory compliance for underwater robotics. You will ensure products meet CE, UL, FCC and other standards, and collaborate with development teams and laboratories to certify and document compliance.

The role requires a strong background in electrical/electronic engineering, EN 61010/60204 knowledge, and experience with EMC, environmental testing, and standards auditing. Based in Fareham with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Essential: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Working knowledge EN 61010 and EN 60204 LVD safety standards.
• Working knowledge of EMC standards and directives for CE / FCC.
• Experience with environmental testing per CE LVD safety standards.
• Ability to interact with internal teams and external test laboratories.

Responsibilities

• Control and maintain compliance of products to national/international standards (CE, UL, FCC).
• Create and maintain technical files and declarations.
• Monitor and report on new regulations and standards impacts.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external labs to plan testing activities.
• Update compliance verification and test plans based on results.
• Present product compliance to stakeholders and auditors.
• Produce technical compliance assessments for end-user requirements.
• Contribute to design reviews and product releases for standards accreditation.
• Participate in engineering change processes to maintain compliance.
• Suggest process improvements within the department.
• Travel locally and internationally as required.
