Job summary

Saab UK, part of a leading defence innovator, seeks a Senior Compliance Engineer for its Fareham site. You will ensure product compliance against CE, UL, FCC and maritime standards, coordinating with internal teams and external labs to keep products ready for certification.

Travel nationally and occasionally internationally may be required. You'll create technical files, reports and compliance assessments, support design reviews and assist in new product releases, while staying current with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, graduate certificate or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Working knowledge EN 61010 and EN 60204 LVD safety standards.
• Working knowledge of EMC standards and directives for CE/FCC.
• Experience with environmental testing per CE LVD safety standards.
• Understanding of mechanical principles related to components/assemblies.
• Knowledge of PCB layouts, wiring and electronic systems.
• Self-starter who can prioritise and deliver work independently.
• Able to work individually and in a team; good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Control and maintain compliance of the company’s products to CE, UL, FCC and industry standards.
• Create and maintain technical files and declarations to satisfy standards.
• Monitor and report on new regulations and standards and their impact.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external test labs to plan accreditation activities.
• Analyse test results and update compliance verification plans; advise design teams.
• Present product compliance status to stakeholders and auditors.
• Contribute to design reviews and product releases to ensure standards accreditation.
• Travel nationally and occasional international travel in support of objectives.
• Undertake other duties as required by supervision.

Education

Bachelor's or equivalent in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
