Job summary

Saab UK is seeking a Senior Compliance Engineer for our Fareham-based underwater robotics business unit. You will ensure product compliance with CE/UL/FCC and other regulatory standards, coordinating with internal teams and external laboratories to support test accreditation and product releases.

The role requires a strong background in electrical/electronic engineering, EN 61010/EN 60204, EMC, and environmental testing, with the ability to provide guidance across design and production teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering required.
• Good working knowledge of EN 61010 and EN 60204 LVD safety standards.
• Working knowledge of EMC standards and directives (CE/FCC).
• Experience with environmental testing per CE/UL/LVD requirements.
• Understanding of mechanical principles in components/assemblies.
• Experience with electronics systems, PCB/Wiring.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Confident to engage with third-party service providers and internal staff.

Responsibilities

• Control and maintain product compliance to national/international standards (CE, UL, FCC).
• Create and maintain technical files and declarations.
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise on impact to products.
• Coordinate with development, production, test labs and notified bodies for test activities.
• Analyze test results and update verification/test plans for design teams.
• Report compliance status to internal stakeholders and auditors.
• Contribute to design reviews and product releases to ensure standards accreditation.
• Participate in engineering change processes to maintain compliance.
