Job summary

Saab UK is seeking an experienced Senior Compliance Engineer for its Fareham-based underwater robotics business. You will ensure products meet CE, UL, FCC and industry standards, creating technical files, and coordinating with labs and design teams to achieve accreditation.

The role involves monitoring regulatory changes, reporting to stakeholders, and contributing to product upgrades while travelling occasionally for compliance activities.

Qualifications

• Essential: Bachelor's degree, graduate certificate or Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
• Working knowledge EN 61010 and EN 60204 LVD safety standards.
• Working knowledge of EMC standards and directives for CE / FCC.
• Experience with environmental testing under CE LVD safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Control and maintain compliance of products to applicable standards and directives.
• Create and maintain technical files and declarations for compliance.
• Monitor and report on new regulations and their impact.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external labs to plan test activities.
• Analyse test results to update compliance verification and test plans.
• Present product compliance status to stakeholders and auditors.
• Contribute to design reviews ensuring products are fit for accreditation.
• Support engineering change process to maintain ongoing compliance.
