Are you passionate about transforming adult social care through personalised and preventative approaches? Wakefield Council is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Commissioning Manager to lead the design, development, and commissioning of innovative care models that empower individuals and strengthen communities.

About the Role

As the strategic lead for personalisation and prevention, you will:

  • Drive the development and implementation of Individual Service Funds (ISFs) and other personalised care models.
  • Commission a diverse range of services including care homes, home care, supported living, day services, and advocacy.
  • Strengthen local community assets and create new funding opportunities for the voluntary and community sector.
  • Lead co-production efforts with service users, carers, providers, and partners.
  • Collaborate with the Wakefield Integrated Care System to deliver joined-up health and social care services.
Qualifications
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (NVQ Level 5 or equivalent management experience).
  • Extensive experience in commissioning, partnership working, and service transformation.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Deep understanding of personalisation, co-production, and asset‑based community development.
