Job summary

Siemens Mobility UKI is recruiting for a Senior Commercial Manager/Quantity Surveyor to help deliver major rail and infrastructure projects across the UK. The role is hybrid, requiring three days in the office, and involves strong commercial leadership across work packages and interfaces with engineers and project managers.

You will drive cost management, forecasting, and contract administration while supporting delivery partners and clients to meet ambitious timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in a relevant discipline; professional qualification such as RICS or CICES preferred.
• Proven track record delivering commercial outcomes for contractor-side projects.
• Strong finance, forecasting, and change management skills.
• Experience coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own project and work package commercial delivery and change control.
• Present periodic project commercial performance to stakeholders.
• Act as key commercial interface for work package managers.
• Provide contractual and commercial support to Project Managers and Engineering.
• Manage work package costs including forecasting, budgeting and control.
• Identify and mitigate project risks with proactive action.
• Contribute to internal/external commercial reports per strategy.
• Ensure contract administration complies with company standards.
• Maintain leadership interfaces with clients, subcontractors and finance teams.
• Keep auditable records for responsible work packages as required.
