Qualifications

• Experienced in the delivery of groundworks as a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager / Director.
• Proven track record leading a target driven commercial team within groundworks or house building.
• Exceptional negotiation, leadership and communication skills are required.
• Excellent commercial acumen and strong financial and business skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the commercial team across multiple projects.
• Oversee all commercial and financial reporting to keep projects within budget and profit targets.
• Manage client relationships, negotiating contracts, variations and final accounts.
• Support the Director with business development, client relationships and recruitment of key personnel.
• Lead the commercial team to maximise commercial performance of the business.
• Ensure strategy and standards are deployed within the commercial team.
• Control costs and manage budgets effectively.
• Support projects on commercial and supplier contracting aspects.
