Job summary

Nicholas Associates is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead commercial and contractual management for complex civil engineering projects. You will collaborate with operations, commercial and senior management to protect commercial interests and ensure delivery on time, within budget and in full compliance with contract obligations.

You will review contracts, manage risk, provide guidance to project teams and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Contracts Manager in construction, civil engineering or related infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and/or JCT forms of contract.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to interpret complex contractual information and provide practical advice.
• Good organisational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the contractual and commercial aspects of multiple construction and civil engineering projects.
• Review, negotiate and administer contracts including main and subcontract agreements.
• Identify, assess and mitigate contractual, commercial and financial risks.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms, specifications and legislation.
• Manage variations, compensation events, extensions of time, claims and notices.
• Monitor costs, budgets and forecasts for projects.
