Job summary

Nicholas Associates is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee commercial performance on multiple groundworks projects for residential developments across the North West. You will manage cost control, contract administration, and provide strategic input to ensure delivery on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Quantity Surveying, a strong background in residential groundwork, and proven ability to manage multiple projects with excellent negotiation and reporting

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably groundworks/civil engineering.
• Strong background in residential infrastructure and groundwork packages.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects or large-scale developments.
• Excellent negotiation, reporting, and commercial management skills.
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Manage the full commercial lifecycle across a portfolio of residential groundworks projects.
• Prepare valuations, CVRs, forecasts, and final accounts.
• Oversee subcontractor procurement, management and payment.
• Provide commercial advice and ensure contracts compliance.
• Monitor and report on project budgets, cost variations and risk.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and clients to ensure alignment.
