Job summary

Glanua is seeking a Commercial Manager to join our senior commercial team. You will oversee contracts from tender to final account, assess risk, and ensure performance aligns with business goals.

The role involves close collaboration with delivery, pre-contract, and client teams across the UK. You will lead commercial strategies, manage cashflow, and support final accounts negotiations, while upholding our values of integrity and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar commercial/contract role in civil engineering.
• Honours degree in Quantity Surveying or a closely related discipline.
• Chartered Surveyor desirable; and understanding of major contract forms (FIDIC, NEC, IChemE).
• Experience drafting contractual entitlements and leading final accounts discussions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee commercial aspects of multiple programmes and projects.
• Develop and implement project-specific commercial/contract strategies.
• Review contract specifications to identify risks or gaps and support risk management.
• Manage cashflow and interim payments with project delivery teams.
• Liaise with finance on bonds, payments and guarantees.
• Lead disputes in collaboration with delivery teams and external advisors.
• Provide training and mentorship to staff to build strong commercial capability.
• Prepare and present monthly commercial performance reporting.
