Novax Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial function for structural steel projects in the Leicester area. You will oversee contract management, valuations and final accounts while mentoring a talented QS team.

You will drive profitability, enforce robust contract governance and foster strong client and stakeholder relationships across multiple projects and business units, delivering commercial excellence.

Formación

• Significant Quantity Surveying experience within structural steelwork.
• Proven experience managing, mentoring and developing commercial personnel.
• In‑depth knowledge of NEC contracts, including Options A and B, JCT forms and bespoke contract arrangements.
• Strong experience in contract reviews, valuations and final accounts.
• Track record of managing commercial performance across multiple projects or units.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, mentor and develop the commercial team, ensuring high standards and continuous improvement.
• Establish consistent commercial processes and promote best practice across projects and business units.
• Review contract terms, identify commercial risks and opportunities, and negotiate conditions.
• Prepare cost-value reconciliations and monitor profit and loss against estimates.
• Lead negotiations to agree final accounts and secure timely payment with Contracts Managers.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
