Job summary

Howden, a global insurance group, seeks a Senior Account Handler to join the Commercial team in Birmingham. The role focuses on managing new business, renewals, mid-term adjustments, and providing professional advice to corporate clients. You will join a large team that collaborates across divisions and supports one another.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in our Birmingham office 3 days a week, with opportunities to cross-sell and contribute to client success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years commercial insurance experience.
• Proficient in Acturis and general insurance products.
• Knowledge of GDPR and Code of Ethics.

Responsibilities

• Assist in achieving client retention targets by delivering excellent service.
• Liaise with Client Director/Account Executive to set renewal strategy and attend client meetings.
• Acquire renewal terms and present to client or assist in presentation.
• Ensure premiums are collected prior to cover commencement and in line with procedures.
• Handle client queries professionally and maintain accurate records in the system.
• Actively cross-sell products from other divisions and support other branches.
