Job summary

Howden is a global insurance group seeking a Senior Account Handler in Birmingham. You will manage renewals, new business, mid-term adjustments, and provide professional advice to corporate clients within a collaborative, hybrid-working Birmingham team.

Based in our Birmingham office three days a week, you will liaise with Client Directors, secure renewal terms, and ensure accurate documentation using Acturis. A strong insurance background and excellent client service are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years commercial insurance experience.
• Working knowledge of Acturis.
• Excellent negotiation and broking skills; strong client service.

Responsibilities

• Assist in renewal strategy with Client Director/Account Executive.
• Undertake market exercises to secure competitive terms.
• Acquire renewal terms and present to client.
• Issue renewal documentation in line with contract certainty.
• Ensure premiums are collected before cover start.
• Record all relevant information, correspondence, and documentation in the system.
• Cross-sell products across divisions and assist other branches.
