Job summary

Harnham is seeking a Senior Commercial Analyst for a fast-growing subscription business in the education sector based in Sheffield. You will shape how the organisation uses customer, product, and commercial data to drive acquisition, engagement, retention, and growth.

This role involves partnering with senior stakeholders, including the CMO, and delivering Power BI dashboards and semantic models. It requires strong SQL/dbt skills and SaaS/subscription experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, Commercial Analyst, Customer Analyst, or Product Analyst role.
• Strong Power BI experience.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience building semantic models.
• Experience working with dbt.
• Experience within a SaaS, subscription, membership, or recurring‑revenue environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to translate analysis into actionable business recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer journeys from awareness through to conversion and retention.
• Understand product usage, content engagement, and customer behaviour.
• Explore customer growth, churn, and lifecycle performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve user engagement and conversion.
• Present findings in a clear and commercially meaningful way.
