Job summary

Made Tech is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and operate cloud infrastructure for public sector clients. You will work across AWS, Azure and GCP, ensuring security, reliability and scalability while staying aligned with best practices and certification paths.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers and help promote cloud-native delivery through IaC, CI/CD, monitoring and incident response.

Qualifications

• Significant prior experience in a cloud engineering role.
• Deep knowledge of AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Hands-on software delivery using multiple languages with modern software practices.
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams with product, design and technical disciplines.
• Desirable cloud certifications and familiarity with well-architected frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design cloud architectures that meet scalability, performance and security requirements.
• Deploy and manage cloud resources, containers, and related services with IaC tools.
• Configure and maintain networking, security and access control in cloud environments.
• Implement robust security practices to protect data and resources.
• Develop and maintain automated provisioning, monitoring and scaling pipelines.
• Monitor infrastructure and optimise resource usage; ensure high availability.
• Lead runbooks and documentation; provide high-level client support when needed.
• Stay current with industry trends and share knowledge within Made Tech.
