Job summary

Made Tech Limited in Bristol is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to lead secure design and delivery across public sector projects. You will secure cloud-native systems on AWS/Azure/GCP, embed security into CI/CD, and mentor teams to raise engineering standards.

Expect hands-on work shaping security patterns, tooling, and response readiness across client engagements. You'll collaborate with delivery teams, support vulnerability management, and contribute to a security-first engineering culture

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience securing cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience embedding security tooling into CI/CD pipelines (SAST, DAST, SCA).
• Proficiency in Python or Go for security automation.
• Experience with detection engineering and SIEM tooling (Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel, ArcSight).
• Experience setting up secure test/hypervisor environments for malware/code testing.

Responsibilities

• Build secure architectures for cloud-native systems across AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Embed security into CI/CD pipelines with SAST/DAST/SCA and IaC scanning.
• Support threat modelling and design reviews with engineering teams.
• Build and maintain security tooling and automation from policy-as-code to IaC guardrails.
• Support vulnerability management by triaging findings and applying mitigations.
• Support incident response readiness with detection and playbooks.
• Mentor engineers and share secure coding/design practices.
• Contribute to the security health of engagements by reducing architectural risk.
