Job summary

Entrust Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to design and maintain a scalable AWS cloud infrastructure supporting microservices. You will manage Kubernetes on AWS EKS, implement IaC, and ensure robust monitoring with SPLUNK and Datadog.

Ideal candidates have deep AWS knowledge, Istio experience, strong scripting (Bash/Python), and a proven CI/CD background. Flexible work options include remote, hybrid, or on-site arrangements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT infrastructure experience with at least 3+ years in AWS.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and AWS EKS.
• Knowledge of core AWS services: EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, CloudWatch.
• Experience configuring SPLUNK and Datadog for monitoring.
• IaC expertise using Terraform or OpenTofu.
• Hands-on experience managing EKS clusters.
• Experience with Istio and Kubernetes integration.
• Solid CI/CD knowledge and Jenkins experience.
• Bash and Python scripting for automation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with day-2 operations: upgrades, backups, cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Manage Kubernetes/EKS environments for microservices.
• Implement IaC using Terraform or OpenTofu.
• Monitor and troubleshoot with SPLUNK, Datadog, and OpenTelemetry where applicable.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automation using scripting languages.
• Handle day-2 operations including upgrades, backups, and cost optimization.
