Job summary

Brown & Brown, Inc. in Belfast is seeking a Commercial Claims Handler to manage all classes of commercial claims within the Claims Team. From FNOL to closure, you will ensure regulatory compliance and deliver a complete professional service to clients.

Daily liaison with policyholders and insurers, accurate record-keeping, and proactive information updates form the core of the role. The firm values collaboration, negotiation, and client-focused service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within Claims is required to be considered for this role.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external parties.
• Strong negotiation and organisational capabilities.
• Willingness to pursue professional qualifications (CII).

Responsibilities

• Manage all classes of commercial claims from FNOL to completion.
• Provide clear and accurate claims advice to clients and claimants.
• Liaise with policyholders and insurers daily and manage expectations.
• Project manage claims within budgets and timeframes.
• Maintain records and support junior staff as needed.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and uphold company policies.
