Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Associate/Associate Director Civil Water Engineer to lead and deliver critical water infrastructure projects across the UK. You will drive technical excellence, manage client relationships, and mentor engineers within a collaborative team.

The role offers hybrid working with offices across the UK, opportunity for progression, and a pathway toward Fellowship with ICE or CIWEM.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered status with ICE or CIWEM or equivalent track record.
• Experience delivering civil infrastructure in consultancy, contractor, client, or water authority.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and develop client relationships.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Passion for solving complex engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design and delivery of civil engineering solutions across feasibility, concept, detailed design and construction.
• Collaborate with colleagues across multiple disciplines to deliver integrated outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and partners.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to developing engineers and support team growth.
• Support project planning, resource management, and risk management.
• Contribute to business development, framework growth and continual improvement initiatives and champion innovation.
• Identify opportunities that create value for clients and communities.
