Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is seeking an experienced Freelance Senior Civil/Structural Design Engineer to join its internal design consultancy on a long-term basis, with hybrid and remote working options.

The role supports major projects across water, power, heavy industrial and infrastructure sectors, delivering robust civil/structural designs and technical documentation in a flexible environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in civil and/or structural design.
• Experience producing engineering calculations and detailed deliverables.
• Experience taking an outline brief through to detailed design.
• Good knowledge of Eurocodes and UK standards.
• Experience working on multidisciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Producing outline and detailed civil/structural designs
• Preparing engineering calculations, drawings, reports and deliverables
• Developing concepts into detailed engineering solutions
• Working on water, power, heavy industrial and infrastructure sectors
• Coordinating civil and structural requirements with other disciplines
• Providing technical input throughout the project lifecycle
• Reviewing designs to meet standards and requirements
• Occasional site visits when required
