Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to work on small design works, structural surveys and related design projects. The role demands autonomy, problem solving, load assessments and advising on building safety cases, condition reports and traditional structures.

Hybrid working is supported, with some office days required. You should live within commuting distance and have your own car for frequent site visits.

Qualifications

• Experienced structural engineer with ability to manage multiple projects
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Willingness to travel to sites and work off-site as required
• Ability to work autonomously and provide clear structural advice

Responsibilities

• Carry out structural surveys and small design projects
• Perform problem solving and load assessments, adjustments and alterations
• Advise on building safety cases and prepare condition reports
• Provide traditional buildings structural design services and guidance
