Job summary

Aldwych Consulting seeks a Freelance Principal Civil/Structural Engineer to lead civil/structural design across diverse projects in water, power, and heavy industrial sectors. Initial Bridgend induction with a move to predominantly remote work.

The ideal candidate will have civil/structural design experience, strong UK standards knowledge, and the ability to take ownership with autonomy. Flexible hybrid/remote working and a long-term freelance opportunity are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering civil/structural design work across multidisciplinary projects.
• Proven ability to develop outline concepts into detailed designs.
• Knowledge of Eurocodes and UK industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver civil and/or structural design across water, power, and infrastructure sectors.
• Produce calculations, drawings, reports and deliverables.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and the supply chain.
