Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is seeking an experienced Freelance Principal Civil / Structural Engineer to join its internal design consultancy in Bridgend, South Wales. You will deliver civil/structural design, calculations and technical deliverables across water, power, heavy industrial and design-and-build projects.

The role offers long-term freelance opportunity with hybrid/remote working, initial Bridgend induction, and potential for near full remote work as you establish with the team.

Qualifications

Experience delivering civil/structural design and engineering calculations.
Ability to take outline briefs through to detailed designs.
Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and UK industry standards.
Experience working on multidisciplinary engineering/construction projects.

Responsibilities

Produce outline and detailed civil/structural designs.
Prepare calculations, drawings, reports and deliverables.
Develop concepts into detailed engineering solutions.
Coordinate civil/structural requirements with other disciplines.
Provide technical input throughout project lifecycle.
Attend site visits as required.
