Job summary

Barhale is seeking a Senior Engineer to provide site engineering duties across regional projects in the UK. The role involves establishing level and survey control, setting out works to contract drawings, and supervising trainees and site engineers.

The Senior Engineer will ensure safe delivery, maintain quality standards, and develop efficient methods while coordinating with PMs and site teams to meet project milestones.

Qualifications

• Experience setting out on civil engineering projects (highways, infrastructure and reinforced concrete works).
• CSCS card and SMSTS qualification required.
• Degree or equivalent in civil engineering.

Responsibilities

• Establish the level and survey control for contracts.
• Set out detailed works as per contract drawings with regular checks.
• Be present for critical setting out activities.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental records are complete and compliant.
• Deliver the work safely, to the specified quality and without defects.
• Assist in developing efficient work methods and resource use.
• Line Manager for Engineers and support junior staff.
