Job summary

Barhale is seeking a Site Engineer to deliver site engineering duties across regional projects. You will establish levels and survey control, set out works from contract drawings and ensure regular checks on site.

The role requires experience in civil engineering set-out, strong communication, and a proactive safety mindset. Barhale values career development and long-term project involvement on major infrastructure schemes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of setting out on civil engineering projects.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with site teams.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements on construction sites.
• Degree or HNC in civil engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Promote the Barhale Cardinal Rules and establish safe working cultures and practices.
• Set out detailed works as per contract drawings and maintain survey checks.
• Produce procurement schedules and liaise with the procurement department to ensure resources are available.
• Produce ITPs and Task Briefings.
• Produce a 2-week look-ahead with the Site Agent.
• Maintain Site Diaries and Allocation Sheets.
