Job summary

Barhale Holdings Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Engineer to provide site engineering duties across regional projects, including supervising trainees and site engineers and establishing level and survey control in line with contract drawings. The role requires setting out detailed works, maintaining safety records, and ensuring work is delivered to high quality standards.

You will support the Site Agent in method development and resource planning.

Qualifications

• Experience setting out on civil engineering projects including highways and reinforced concrete.
• Degree/HNC in civil engineering or equivalent qualification.
• CSCS card and SMSTS trained.
• Confined space training or equivalent.
• Proficient in AutoCAD for setting out and drawings.
• Ability to manage and deliver projects with minimal guidance.
• Experience running reports and maintaining records accurately.
• Able to communicate effectively with client representatives and site teams.
• Capable of challenging designs and resolving issues to a conclusion.

Responsibilities

• Establish the level and survey control for contracts and hand over for daily setting out.
• Set out detailed works per contract drawings with regular checks.
• Be present for critical setting out activities.
• Maintain health, safety and environmental records and ensure compliance.
• Deliver work safely, to specified quality, with no defects.
• Assist the Site Agent in developing efficient methods and resource use.
• Act as Deputy for Sub/Site Agent when required.
• Procurement: perform material take-offs and support procurement schedules.
