Job summary

Barhale is recruiting a Site Engineer in the UK to oversee site engineering duties across regional projects. The role requires establishing level and survey control, setting out works from contract drawings, and maintaining checks as works progress.

Essentially, you will ensure safety, accuracy, and timely information flow while supporting procurement and planning with ITPs, look-ahead schedules, and site diaries.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in setting out civil engineering projects.
• Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety regulations.
• Familiarity with robotic total station or EDM instruments.
• Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish the level and survey control for contracts.
• Set out detailed works per contract drawings and check regularly.
• Ensure records comply with organisational and legal requirements.
• Resolve technical difficulties and other problems.
• Produce procurement schedules with the procurement department.
• Produce ITPs and Task Briefings.
• Produce a 2-week look-ahead in conjunction with the Site Agent.
• Produce Site Diaries and Allocation Sheets.
