Job summary

WSP seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to lead technical delivery across nuclear programmes. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to develop civil infrastructure for new builds, asset management, decommissioning and defence facilities.

Qualifications

• Degree and chartered status required, with nuclear sector experience.
• Experience delivering civil engineering projects across the nuclear asset lifecycle in the UK.
• Strong knowledge of design codes and standards including British Standards, Eurocodes, and nuclear-specific standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of civil engineering projects and multidisciplinary workstreams across nuclear programmes.
• Define civil engineering solutions for site development, roads and access infrastructure, drainage and earthworks.
• Provide technical leadership and assurance, ensuring designs meet client requirements and regulatory obligations.
• Lead feasibility studies, optioneering, site assessments and concept design activities.
• Coordinate civil engineering requirements across structural, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical and process engineering disciplines.
• Oversee the preparation and review of calculations, specifications, technical reports, design risk assessments and HSE documentation.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders as a senior technical contact.
• Support proposals, fee development and work-winning activities.
