Job summary

WSP is seeking a chartership‑tracked Civil Engineer to work within its Civil Nuclear capability in the UK. You will contribute to the full nuclear lifecycle, from feasibility through to decommissioning, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver complex infrastructure and ensure compliance with safety and design standards.

The role emphasizes development of graduate and early career engineers, with opportunities to grow technical skills and contribute to nationally significant

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• CEng or working towards chartership.
• Experience delivering civil engineering projects through nuclear lifecycle.
• Experience in designing civil solutions: site development, earthworks, drainage, highways, utilities, reinforced concrete/steel.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and review civil engineering designs across the nuclear asset lifecycle.
• Develop civil engineering solutions for major nuclear infrastructure projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies, optioneering, and concept design activities.
• Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to craft safe, efficient engineering solutions.
• Support integration of civil with structural, mechanical, electrical and process engineering.
• Prepare and review technical reports, specifications and H&S documentation.
• Apply design codes and quality requirements in regulated environments.
• Assist with project planning, design coordination and delivery to programme and budget.
• Build relationships with clients, stakeholders and delivery partners.
