Job summary

SLR is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Transport Engineering team. The role focuses on detailed design, feasibility studies and scheme reports for infrastructure projects, with opportunities to lead project budgeting, BOQs and costings.

You will ensure designs comply with specifications, health and safety and CDM requirements, while managing client and stakeholder relationships and supporting junior team members. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

Sound knowledge of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and Manual for Streets.
Ability to engage and conduct effective negotiations with client, stakeholders, subcontractors and third parties.
Detailed understanding of Health & Safety legislation.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed design, feasibility studies and scheme reports for a variety of projects.
Take responsibility for project management, budgeting, BOQ and costings.
Ensure designs comply with specifications, programme and health and safety/CDM requirements.
Manage relationships with clients, stakeholders and third parties.
Coordinate with team members involved in the design and support junior staff.
