Job summary

SLR Consulting is seeking an experienced Engineer with civil-road design and project-management expertise to support the design and management of Section 278/38 road schemes. You will prepare detailed designs, feasibility studies and costings, ensuring compliance with specifications, budgets and safety standards.

The role involves coordinating with clients and stakeholders, performing environmental assessments, and contributing to a collaborative, hybrid-working environment across UK projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in design and management of road projects (Section 278/38).
• Ability to engage and conduct negotiations with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors and third parties.
• Competent in Health & Safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed design, feasibility studies and scheme reports.
• Possibility to take responsibility for project management, budgeting, BOQs and costings.
• Ensure designs comply with specification, programme and CDM requirements, health & safety and environmental impact.
