Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking an experienced civil engineer to lead day-to-day technical delivery across the project life cycle, from feasibility through to construction, with a focus on drainage, flood risk and highways for diverse development projects.

You will provide project leadership, guidance to staff, and strong client engagement while ensuring delivery within budget, programme and quality standards in a busy development team environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of highway design, drainage strategies and technical design, flood risk assessments and management, utility design and planning.
• Design experience focused on development sector (drainage, flood risk, highways, earthworks and utilities).
• Awareness of hydraulics, hydrology, geotechnics and building structures; understanding of construction design stages.
• Ability to produce infrastructure masterplans, site appraisals, technical reports, design calculations and construction drawings.
• Knowledge of design codes such as Water UK Sewerage Sector Guidance, Design Manual for Roads & Bridges, Manual for Streets, Local Authority Design Guidance, SuDS Manual.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day technical delivery of civil engineering consultancy services across project life cycle from feasibility to construction.
• Provide technical expertise in drainage, SuDS, flood risk, highways, streetscape, earthworks and utilities for land, property and infrastructure projects.
• Provide project leadership on multiple multidisciplinary projects as Project Manager where required.
• Provide guidance to and manage a team of technical staff.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders; coordinate design teams and manage approvals and contracts.
