Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior Engineer with extensive postgraduate experience in drainage design, specifically for major civil engineering schemes. This role involves delivering high-quality engineering services, preparing technical reports, and developing design solutions for transportation and environmental infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Civil Engineering, hold or be nearing Chartered status, and have significant experience in relevant software tools. A hybrid working arrangement is offered, providing flexibility and a supportive environment for professional growth.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline.
• Hold CEng or IEng status or nearing qualification.
• Extensive experience in drainage design and flood risk management.
• Excellent knowledge of DMRB standards and hydraulic modelling.
• Experience with drainage design software and flood modelling.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality engineering services in an integrated team.
• Provide technical input to multidisciplinary project teams.
• Prepare technical reports and communicate effectively with clients.
• Develop technical capacity of the drainage team.
• Design road drainage systems and flood risk management measures.

Skills

Postgraduate experience in drainage design
